KISS co-founder and also the band’s longtime bassist Gene Simmons had an exclusive interview with Gibson TV’s official YouTube account and discussed his approach to Gibson as well as his recently released exclusive bass.

As you may already know, Gene Simmons and Gibson announced a new collaboration last week and stated that they had reached a long-term agreement to offer new guitar and bass products in the near future. In the same announcement, Gene and Gibson shared that they will be streaming on multiple platforms like YouTube and TikTok.

Just a week after the announcement, Gene Simmons did an exclusive interview with Gibson and shared his feelings as many left and right handed electric guitars are being prepared very soon. According to Gene, he is a trusted man and Gibson gave him the opportunity to make a trusted collaboration.

Here’s what Gene Simmons said:

“I’ve been around a long time. And what I want you to get out of this is pride. When you see that Gibson logo, and hopefully with me involved as well, and you plug in that first time, you’re taken aback by how good it sounds and people come up and say, ‘Man, you’re cool.’”

He continued:

“However they figure out all the work that you put into getting your sound, pride should come out of that. That’s what I hope the fans get out of this. And let’s call it for what it is. The basses are so beautiful, the bodies are so classic that there’s gonna be lots of folks out there who are gonna wanna buy ’em and put ’em on their wall as a piece of art…

And we’re gonna pay attention to those details so that, as you get close to it, you’re gonna get something special.”
