Elvis had a ridiculous menagerie of animals over the course of his life, among them a chimpanzee named Scatter. Scatter wore suits and ties, was prone to masturbation, drank too much, and enjoyed lifting up women’s dresses and attacking them. The chimp became so intolerable, biting a butler and terrorizing maids, that Elvis called him a “coconut-headed little motherf*cker” and banished him to his own special room, so residents of Graceland would be safe.
Elvis’s other pets included peacocks, chickens, pigs, a Pyrenees, and some donkeys that hung out in the Graceland swimming pool.
