5 things you didn’t know about Steven Tyler

4. His sticky fingers cost the band some money back in the early days

Tyler grew up on the tougher streets of The Bronx and Yonkers, New York when he was a child, where the “seeker-seeker” rule was apparently a little stricter than in other areas of the country. When Aerosmith was still an unknown band that was trying to make ends meet, it was Tyler’s smart (or not-so-smart) kids that cost the band one of their best-paid gigs. According to Perry, Tyler stole a projector from a local club where the musicians who were fighting would get a hot meal and a decent payday as part of their weekly concert, which caused the place to lose interest in hiring them soon after. Finders-keepers, losers-weepers.
