Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider Made a Controversial Claim About The ‘disco sucks’ Movement

Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider recently tweeted on his Twitter account and made a controversial claim about the “disco sucks” movement while saying that he still stands up for everything they had to do to save rock music.

Dee Snider is without a doubt one of the most active rock stars on her social media accounts. He often likes to use his Twitter account to talk about the latest news in the world of rock and metal, to express his views on social and political issues, and obviously to interact with his fans and answer his questions.

Recently Alex Skolnick, the lead guitarist for thrash metal band Testament, voiced his views on the ‘disco sucks’ movement and said that some songs by KISS, Rod Stewart and Rolling Stones had a disco flavor, which might not be to everyone’s liking. of tea, but they were still good.

As he will recall, by the late 1970s, dance-oriented disco music had become the most popular musical genre in the United States, casting a shadow over rock and metal music. Saturday Night Fever was a very popular movie that featured disco music and contributed to its popularity. This was not well received by rock musicians and fans who started riots that ultimately led to the destruction of a hit record album on “Disco Demolition Night”.

After Alex’s comment on disco-flavored rock music, a Twitter user tagged Dee Snider and said that Twisted Sister and Animal Tactics “made a career out of it” with the movement. Alex Skolnick responded by saying that he knows Twisted Sister and that while they had fun saying “Disco sucks,” he doesn’t think they really supported the explosion of music records.

At this point, Dee Snider chimed in and said that disco music still sucks and that he doesn’t regret anything he did or said. He also added that people need to “put aside the racism of the disco movement sucks” as he claims that he was fighting white people like Travolta and that “there wasn’t a person of color in sight.”
