Tool Fear Inoculum Review: Descending

Rob: Again, this is where the band leans on its Grateful Dead metal side, with a lot of jam. I really noticed the organic tones of all the instruments here and everything seems very tool. The biggest tool that tool has been. It’s Danny Carey‘s show, until some good main beats by bassist Justin Chancellor carry the song until we play an absolute ripper of a single by Adam Jones.

Frank: Descending is another song that recalls the band’s past, with tribal-style toms and large, heavy open parts that feature the dynamics of the song at full speed. The song features a full guitar solo around 7 minutes, and a second guitar solo towards the end. The song takes place over days, and peaks around 11 minutes with an epic start to close the song.
