Green Day Posted an Update on Their ‘Hella Mega Tour’ And Gave The Sad News of Another Cancelation in Australia and New Zealand

Green Day‘s official Instagram account posted an update on their “Hella Mega Tour” and broke the sad news of another cancellation in Australia and New Zealand.

The next Green Day tour, “Hella Mega Tour”, was scheduled to start in May 2020 and also featured Fall Out Boy and Weezer. However, as a result of the global coronavirus pandemic, the tour dates had to be rescheduled. Previously, Green Day announced that all nine shows in Asia were postponed, followed by other performances in Europe and North America.

Recently, the official Green Day Instagram account shared the sad news of another cancellation on their tour dates. Apparently, due to Covid-19’s measures, shows in Australia and New Zealand scheduled for November had to be canceled. In addition, the band immediately informed ticket holders that they could receive their money at the point of purchase.

This is how Green Day shared the disturbing news about their shows:

“Australia and New Zealand, we’re beyond bummed to announce that the upcoming Hella Mega dates in November have been canceled.

We kept trying to put this piece of the puzzle together, but unfortunately, it’s just not possible due to the uncertainty of the government Covid-19 travel restrictions, mass gatherings, and most importantly for the safety of our fans, crew, and staff.

Ticket refunds will be available at the point of purchase.

We love you all and we’ll be back rocking with you at some point.

Until then, stay safe.

Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer”
