Gene Simmons: ‘We’re Gonna Go Back Out As Soon As This Pandemic Is Over’

KISS bassist and vocalist Gene Simmons recently appeared on the “15 Minutes Show” hosted by international artist Tomer Peretz.

In Peretz’s “15 Minutes Show,” the artist creates portraits of universally known icons of today live on Instagram. Each topic is carefully selected to be pioneers in its field, whose passion and talent speak for themselves.

Speaking about KISS ‘nearly five-decade career, Simmons said (see video below): “We are very lucky. We have been around 47 years, since the first tour. And we continue to tour. We will be back as soon as this. pandemic ends. ”

Gene also talked about KISS ‘incomparable live show, saying, “We invited all the new bands to come on stage with us, and we will be more than happy to show young children how the big ones do.”

Last week, Gene told 95.5 KLOS radio station that KISS has “one hundred and fifty” shows left on its “End Of The Road” tour, including a stop at “the coldest place on earth.”

KISS launched its farewell trip in January 2019 but was forced to suspend it earlier this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Some of the later [concerts] will be amazing,” he said. “You can’t imagine what we have planned, like, beyond … I said, ‘No. Can we really do that? They said,’ Yeah. Yes. “Political people said we could play there. So there will be things that will make you say, ‘That’s the best.’

KISS recently announced a New Year’s Eve concert at the Atlantis resort in Dubai. Landmark Live Presents will produce the show live from The Royal Beach at Atlantis Dubai. The show’s producers claim that the event, which will apparently attempt to set the world’s largest pyrotechnic record, will be filmed with more than 50 cameras and 360-degree views. It will be viewed via live broadcast, with the purchase of a ticket on any computer, mobile device, or Apple TV.

Originally, “End Of The Road” was scheduled to conclude on July 17, 2021, in New York City, but is now expected to last well into 2022.

KISS’s current lineup consists of original members Simmons and Paul Stanley (guitar, vocals), along with later additions to the band, guitarist Tommy Thayer (since 2002) and drummer Eric Singer (intermittently since 1991).
