Getting the first "fact" completely wrong is an indication that I needn't bother reading further. Actually, Waters spat on a fan who was causing a ruckus in front of the stage on the 1977 "In The Flesh" tour, not the other way around. He later regretted it, saying that it was "a bit fascist" of him, and started developing The Wall from that idea.
I was at that show in Montreal's Olympic stadium in 1977. Pink Floyd did Wish you were here & Animals & Dark Side of the Moon. I think that one of David Gilmour's guitar string broke also. Damn good show it was.
I saw the Stafford Bingley Hall gig in '77. Gilmour totally fegged the opening riff in SOYCD, stood back hand on chin, pressed a pedal then played it note perfect. The crowd went wild. Class!
I saw them in 1987. He played every note flawless....unless you are telling me it was pre-recorded! Seems incredible to me at the time but now looking back......you never know. They proved that Roger Waters's recent tour was mostly taped. The compared concerts from multiple places and the songs were exact note for note! LOL
